More than 80 artists in more than 25 businesses participate, all within walking distance. Art opening receptions on Friday night showcase the new work of the gallery/studio owners or the work of guest artists. Many galleries offer light refreshments.

Each First Friday of the month, Paseo galleries offer special themed exhibits, refreshments, guest artists and a variety of entertainment opportunities. The historic Paseo Arts District is Oklahoma City's art community. Dozens of galleries, three restaurants and a handful of shops stand in distinctive Spanish Mission Revival style buildings, all within walking distance. Once you visit for a First Friday Gallery Walk, you will want to linger for the Paseo’s unique atmosphere. The walk starts on Friday at 6pm and lasts until 9pm, rain or shine. Some galleries offer lite refreshments and two food trucks will be available.

COST

This is a free event.

PARKING

Parking is available along Paseo and in the surrounding Paseo neighborhood.

PETS

Leashed pets are always welcome in the Paseo!

VENDORS

We book 2-3 food trucks each month. Apply to serve during First Friday here

MUSICIANS & PERFORMERS

The PAA books one musician or band to play outdoors 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Street performers are allowed as long as you do not interfere with the booked musician. For booking, contact paige@thepaseo.org

HOW CAN I EXHIBIT MY ART?

Artists must be represented in a gallery or business. We do not allow commercial vendors or individual artists to set up tents or tables on the street during First Friday. Galleries typically book artists for a month at a time and each has a different process for booking artists. The best way to decide where your work would fit best is to come to a First Friday Gallery Walk and contact the gallery after!
