Under the guidance of teaching artists G. Patrick Riley and Glen Henry, participants will be creating a 3D sculpture, starting with a hardwood polygon frame that they can add to by weaving and suspending repurposed objects and materials within it to create a unique sculpture, this can be anything from ribbons and beads to paper, leather and wire, etc.
A feast of found materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill will be provided for participants to pick and choose from to incorporate into their polygon. Each polygon sculpture will be unique to the aesthetic of each participant and they will have creative freedom to explore their own style through the materials, creating a one of a kind artwork. All supplies are included, however participants are also welcome to bring their own objects or materials that they’d like to include in their piece.
Cost: $50 per person
