John Wilson was born in 1945 which makes him older than dirt. After being discharged from the Army in 1968, he stumbled upon a box of Organic Gardening and Farming periodicals, and has been hooked on gardening the organic way ever since. John has gardened in San Diego, Napa California, Spokane Washington, Weatherford, and Moore Oklahoma, made enough compost to fill a large barn, and read enough books on gardening to fill a room. John wrote an organic gardening column for a local paper in San Diego, and online for a local garden club in Bay Point, California. John began grafting, ten years ago, after he attended a workshop sponsored by the California Rare Fruit Growers, and now enjoys sharing his knowledge and love of his craft with others.
