“Past, Present & Future” will officially open during the historic Paseo Arts District’s First Friday Gallery Walk on Friday, January 5, 6-10pm and will be featured throughout the month of January at The Elms, closing on Sunday, January 28th. 

Gallery owner, Joy Reed Belt has traditionally presented January exhibits in the spirit of Janus, the two-faced Roman god of beginnings and endings. One year a show would look to the past, featuring the work of well-established artists, while the next year’s show would look to the future, bringing forth newly-emerging artists. Belt says this year is different. This new year show is turned “not only to the past and to the future, but also here, now” as is represented by the contemporary artists in the prime of their creative lives.” 

The exhibition features returning and new artists including: Michele Mikesell, DJ Lafon, Shirley Thomson-Smith, Christa Blackwood, Shane Scribner, George Bogart, Beth Hammack, Laura Nugent, Sohail Shehada, Heather Lunsford, Larry Hefner, Karam, Marilyn Artus, Hugh Meade & Jenny Bell, Michi Susan, M.P. Callender, Lynette Mathis, Mina Sadeghi, Bobby Martin, Mayumi Keifer, Eric Piper and Sara Scribner.
